The science fiction-oriented fps Crysis is set to return again in the second quarter of 2013 with Crysis 3. Crytek and Electronic Arts just recently released a teaser trailer of what is to come. The infamous Army Delta Force officer Laurence “Prophet” Barnes returns once more to New York, and it’s not a lovely sight. The city has been turned into a large biodome, basicly a jungle, by Cell Corporation. Prophet takes on the role as the hunter with the goal to kill everyone in the dome with the help of the hightech weapon known as the Nanosuit.

Devoloper Crytek has been praised for the companys graphic achievements. At the same time, Crysis 2 was critized for its linearity. This is of course something that the whole genre is known for nowdays, and hopefully we will see a sequel which has embraced the criticism. Crysis 3 will also (of course) be run on the CryEngine 3 motor.

The classic city-building simulation returns after spending some years in the Electronic Arts’ freezer.
SimCity was developed by the studio Maxis during the 80′s and became a stepping stone for a number of Sim-titles through the years. It was also a game which became video game designer Will Wrights big breakthrough. Wright has since then become famous for creating games like The Sims and Spore, but left Maxis – the studio responsible for Sim, as well as the company he was part of in it’s creation.
After nearly 10 years without releasing any “Sim”, Maxis returns and is currently developing SimCity 5, however without Wright. Electronic Arts is giving the studio a new shot at the series after the mixed receptions of SimCity Societies which was developed Tilted Mill Entertainment.
Don’t be fooled by the video, even though it seems interesting. SimCity 5 does not portray any actual gameplay and does not have any current release date, other than sometime during 2013.
